In
addition to Board Committees, the Board also maintains representation to a
variety of groups and/or organizations.
These include:
1. Aspen View School Administrators’ Association
Powers of the Representatives: To facilitate communication between the Board
and the school-
based administration.
Membership: All trustees to serve in pairs on a
rotating basis.
2.
Powers of the Representatives: To represent the Division’s interests at ASBABE
meetings.
Membership: One trustee
3.
Powers of the Representatives: To represent the Division’s interests at ASBA
meetings.
Membership: One
trustee and one alternate.
4. Central
Powers of the Representatives: To act as a liaison with CAMS for school media
resources.
Membership: -
One trustee

Superintendent or designate.
5. Public School Boards Association of
Powers of the Representatives: To represent the Division’s interests at PSBAA
meetings.
Membership: One
trustee and one alternate.

6. School Councils
Powers of the Representatives: To facilitate communication between the Board
and the School or Parent Advisory Councils.
Membership: One trustee assigned to each school.
7.
Council of School Councils
Powers of the Representatives: To facilitate communication between the Board
and the Council of School Councils.
Membership: Board chair and local
trustee(s).
TERMS OF REFERENCE:
Meetings:
As
required, with the exception of ASBA representation which is:
- Director’s meeting: One trustee and one alternate.
- Zone
meeting: One trustee, one alternate,
and one other trustee whose attendance has been ratified at the preceding Board
meeting.
- Conference: Any trustees able to attend and members of
Divisional Executive Staff as directed by the Superintendent.
Minutes: Reporting to the Board at the next
regular meeting.
Remuneration: As per Board policy and rates
Budget: As required
