GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES:

1. Powers of the Committee:

a. To hear, review and endeavor to resolve any grievance submitted by any employee/employee group.

b. To render its decision in respect of the grievance within the time lines specified in the applicable agreement.

c. To make recommendations to the Board on grievances filed by an employee or employee group.

2. Committee Terms of Reference:

a. Membership: - Three trustees.

- Superintendent or designate.

b. Meetings: As required.

c. Minutes: To be filed at the Board office.

d. Reporting to the Board: Next regular meeting.

e. Remuneration: As per Board policy and rates.

f. Budget: As required.
