Name of Committee: Labour Relations Committee – ATA

GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES:

1. Powers of the Committee:

a. To meet with representatives of the ATA Local to share concerns regarding the collective agreement.

b. To negotiate with the ATA in good faith and to conclude a Memorandum of Agreement for recommendation to the Board.

2. Committee Terms of Reference:

a. Membership: - Three trustees.

- Superintendent and/or designate.

b. Meetings: As required.

c. Minutes: To be filed at the Board office.

d. Reporting to the Board: - Next regular meeting.

- Recommended action by the committee will be brought to the Board as recommendations.

- Reports will be given verbally in camera until the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement. A copy of the memorandum will be made available to each trustee. Upon approval of the revised contract a copy of the signed agreement will be provided to all trustees.

e. Remuneration: As per Board policy and rates.

f. Budget: As required.
