CATEGORY: SYSTEM RECORDS
POLICY STATEMENT:
The Board believes
that information is a critical factor in the achievement of
Division objectives, and therefore directs that all system records shall be
maintained in accordance with commonly recognized standards.
REGULATIONS:
1. Records
shall be the property of the Board.
2. Records
shall be maintained as required by Alberta Learning, the Freedom of Information
and Protection of Privacy Act (F.O.I.P.P.), and/or any other relevant
legislation.
3. The
Secretary-Treasurer shall be responsible for system records management through
a System Records Handbook.
4. The Secretary-Treasurer shall develop
and maintain a written System Records Handbook which shall be approved by the
Board.
5. The
Secretary-Treasurer shall be consulted prior to disposing of outdated records.
