The Board believes that the development of individual School
Education Plans will enhance school-based decision-making and will enhance
student learning.
1. School Education Plans (SEP) and supporting documents shall be developed.
2. School Education Plans shall be
reviewed and updated annually.
3. Priorities and practices must be consistent with Alberta Learning regulations, Board policies and administrative directives.
4. The development of the School Education Plan shall:
a. provide stakeholders with opportunities for input into the formation of the School Education Plan
b. reflect Aspen View Regional Division No. 19 Mission and provincial, system and school goals
c. include school mission,
goals/objectives and strategies, measures, expected results, persons
responsible, expected timelines for completion, and appropriate budget
management procedures based on quantitative and qualitative analysis of
achievement and other available data
5. The School Education Plan will outline the deployment of school resources.
6. The Superintendent or Designate is responsible for the development of the School Education Plan process.
7. The school principal is responsible for
the development of the School Education Plan and the deployment of resources in
accordance with provincial, system and school goals.
8. The School Education Plan must reflect
the Division standards and outcome expectations.
9. The School Education Plan will be
completed by the school principal and submitted for approval to the
Superintendent.
10. The School Education Plan will be monitored by the Superintendent to ensure that the school is delivering required programs and services.
