CATEGORY: INVENTORIES
POLICY STATEMENT:
The Board believes
that a inventory of
the Division’s property should be maintained and should be updated regularly.
REGULATION:
A copy
of all inventories referred to in this policy shall be filed with the
Secretary-Treasurer on an annual basis (no later than the end of June).
GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES:
1. Principals and service centre managers shall maintain a video graphic recording inventory of the contents of their locations annually.
2. Principals
and service centre managers shall prepare an inventory of all school or service
centres property valued at $5,000.00 or more per item
with details as outlined in guideline # 3, and shall update this inventory annually.
3. In addition
to the video graphic recordings, all centres shall
maintain separate inventories for computers, other technology equipment and
musical band instruments which shall include, at a minimum:
a. item
name/description/quantity/model/serial number;
b. purchase
date; and
c. purchase
price.
