VOLUNTEER DRIVERS
POLICY STATEMENT:
The Board believes that the
use of volunteer drivers enables students to participate in a
broader range of curricular and extra-curricular activities than might
otherwise be available to them.

drivers must possess a current

drivers must be approved in advance by the school principal. A copy of the driver’s license should be kept
on file by the principal plus a copy of insurance coverage for private
vehicles.
3. All
volunteer drivers must have a criminal record check and a child welfare check.
GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES:
1. Volunteer drivers are encouraged to
train for and earn an “S” endorsement.
2. Any costs
associated with volunteer drivers shall be covered by the school or the
driver i.e. The
use of volunteer drivers shall be at no cost to the Board.
