Where can I find nomination forms?
The Nomination Paper and Candidate’s Acceptance can be found on the Aspen View Public Schools website, or can be obtained at the Aspen View Public Schools Division Office: 3600 48 Ave., Athabasca, AB.
What is required with my nomination?
Your nomination must include:
- The completed Nomination Paper and Candidate’s Acceptance;
- It must be signed by five people who are eligible voters within the ward in which you wish to run;
- A $100 deposit, payable by cash, certified cheque or money order.
How do candidates file their nomination papers?
The returning officer for Aspen View Public Schools will receive nominations from prospective candidates between 10 a.m. and noon on nomination day, Monday, September 18, 2017. Nomination forms must be dropped off at Aspen View Public Schools Division Office, 3600 48 Ave., Athabasca, AB.
Note: if the Nomination Paper and Candidate’s Acceptance have not been sworn, the candidate is required to submit the nomination in person; if the Nomination Paper and Candidate’s Acceptance have already been sworn, the nomination may be submitted by a third party.
