Esso is
one of Grassland's three restaurants. It has a convenience store and of
course gas. Esso is one of the more popular restaurants because of its
amazing pizza. Every topping you can dream of is there and the pizzas
have a delicious, thick crust.
Grassland also supports a Husky which doesn’t have pizza but makes
awesome food anyway. Like Esso, Husky has a gas station and a
convenience store. It is one of the more popular restaurants for
students who go uptown for lunch.
Wally's
is the third restaurant in Grassland but it’s more like a fast food
joint. With mouth-watering hamburgers and homemade French fries,
Wally's is the most popular place for students to hang out.
Grassland Community School has an average of 165 students from
kindergarten to grade 12 attending it. With many different courses to
choose from the students enjoy their days at school. Students get a lot
of one to one time with the teachers because our school is small.
Derko's
is another good place where we fuel up. It has a very convenient Card
Lock that semi’s passing by can use. It is great for people who are in
a hurry.
Mellott’s RV is a place where you can come and buy ski-doos or quads.
It is attached to the post office. If you want to send some mail just
come on over and drop it in the mailbox.
We also
have two tire shops in town that retread and remake tires. Between
these businesses is a welding shop that can fix anything made from
metal.
The
Classic Ornamental Concrete shop is a wonderful place to buy a
beautifully homemade craft as a memento of your journey through
Grassland. Wooden ornaments, concrete birdbaths, fountains and much
more, amazing drawings, and paintings are only some of the wonderful
items you can look at.
Our
Fire Department helps us with the downfalls in life. It is made up of
volunteers from around the community who’ve put in time to train and
learn the safety precautions needed. They are always on the ball and
arrive at the scene as fast as possible. Our special thanks goes to
them.
Now you
know a tiny bit more about our tiny town. Come and visit sometime
soon!!!
