I then spent
several years in the private sector involved in Real Estate sales and
management. I concluded my career in the private sector as Manager of
Internal Relations, Calgary Real Estate Board.
Changes in my
personal life and a move to Nanaimo resulted in my returning to my
career in Education. I was at Wellington and Dover Bay High Schools
teaching English, Social Studies, Humanities, Comparative Civilization
and Physical Education. At Dover Bay, a new high school, I was
Department Head of Student Activities and coached high school sports.
I continued my
teaching career in Nanaimo while attending Malaspina University College
and the University of Victoria to add to my professional education and
to obtain a Masters Degree in Educational Administration.
An opportunity to
move into school administration resulted in a move to Kitimat, B.C.
where I was Vice Principal at Mount Elizabeth Secondary School and where
I also taught Social Studies in addition to my administrative duties.
An appointment as Vice Principal and then Principal of Caledonia Senior
Secondary School resulted in a move to Terrace, B.C. Both high schools
are in the Coast Mountains School District #82.
I concluded my work
with Coast Mountains School District #82 in March of 2006 as District
Principal responsible for a number of school district programs including

I and my wife have
moved back to Alberta settling in Camrose to be closer to family and to
get back to the prairies. I have continued my education career as the
