STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT – RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

I have a right to an education.

It is my responsibility to listen, learn, be punctual and prepared to do my best, and to accept assistance when necessary. I will not interfere with the learning of others.

I have a right to be treated with dignity and respect.

It is my responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect.

I have a right to hear and be heard.

It is my responsibility to help maintain a calm and quiet school by not interrupting, shouting or making loud noises.

I have a right to be safe and secure.

It is my responsibility not to hurt others, physically, mentally, or emotionally. I will practice good sportsmanship and work and play safely.

I have a right to be myself.

It is my responsibility to treat others fairly and respect individual differences.

I have a right to privacy and my own personal space.

It is my responsibility to respect the personal property of others and accept their right to privacy.

I have a right to receive help in learning self-control.

It is my responsibility to practice self-control and ask for help when necessary.

I can expect all these rights are mine as long as I am exercising all my responsibilities. I will expect to be corrected when I abuse the rights of others.
