STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT –
School-Wide Expectations:
The school establishes standards of conduct to provide conditions, which promote learning, ensure safety, facilitate character development and good citizenship, and protect property.
We believe one of the best ways to achieve good student conduct is to promote responsible behavior. Students are expected to:
Classroom Expectations:
Each teacher will discuss their classroom rules and expectations with their classes during the first week of school. Compliance to the rules will contribute to a positive learning experience for everyone.
Minor Offenses:
Staff members will handle minor offences immediately. Teachers will keep parents informed of student behavior.
Major Offenses:
Major offenses are behaviors, which threaten the orderly function of the school or are threatening to the well being of others. Major offenses will be formally reviewed and dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
Misbehavior may result in loss of privileges, school service, in-school suspensions, out of school suspensions or expulsion.
