LEAVING SCHOOL GROUNDS

Students who reside in the Hamlet of Radway may go home
during the lunch hour to eat, provided an adult is at home during
each lunch hour.
Any student wishing to leave the school grounds for any other
reason must be accompanied by either his or her parent or guard-
ian; or have a signed, dated note from a parent . Blanket notes
covering a time period longer than 24 hours will not be accepted.




BRINGING PERSONAL PROPERTY TO SCHOOL

Students are welcome to bring artifacts, games, etc. from home;
however, the child is ultimately responsible for the care of his or
her property. Games, personal CD players, etc. are only to be
used during recess and noon hours. It is not the school’s respon-
sibility to replace or repair student’s toys, souvenirs, clothing, etc.




LOCKERS AND DESKS

Lockers and desks are available to students.
Elementary students are assigned an open locker wherein they
may keep jackets, books, etc. Valuables such as money or
jewellery should not be kept in these lockers.

Junior High students will be assigned a locker which may be
locked by the student. Combination locks must be used. The
combination will be kept on file in the principal’s office.

Note: All lockers are available on the condition that the school
reserves the right to search and repossess the locker at any time
without notice.




DRESS CODE

1. Students are free to wear clothes of their own choosing, provided
the following criteria is met:
2. Students shall adhere to the federal and provincial laws
regarding the wearing of clothing.
3. Students shall wear tops (full front and full back), shorts, pants,
or skirts and shoes at all times.
4. No hats are to be worn in the school.
5. T-shirts and other clothing with swear words, rude expres-
sions, or pictures of rude gestures or distracting images
shall not be worn in the school.
