STUDENT SERVICES

1. COUNSELING SERVICES AND PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING
Educational Testing services are available for testing students
who may be experiencing learning difficulty or exhibit unusual
behavioural patterns. Referrals for educational or psychological
assessments may be made by parents, teachers or the principal.
Parental consent must be obtained before testing is done.

2. FAMILY AND SCHOOL LIAISON WORKER
Mrs. Corinne Arsenault, with the County of Thorhild Family and
Community Support Services in the Thorhild County Office is
available to provide support services to students and their fami-
lies to strengthen and stabilize school, family, and community life.

3. SPEECH AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Aspen Health Authority provides speech and occupational therapy
services. Parents, teachers, or the principal may make referrals
for these services. Parental consent must be obtained before
testing is done.




STUDENT ACCIDENT INSURANCE

The School Board has purchased a basic plan of accident insur-
ance covering each full-time student. This plan has been made
available at no cost to the students of Aspen View, however, the
basic plan is only in force during regular school hours or any
school approved and school supervised activity. You may extend
the basic plan to cover all injuries 24 hours per day, every day,
including summer vacation and other school breaks. Brochures,
including price lists, are distributed to students at the beginning
of each school year.




PROXY LOGS

Please note that students are monitored as to web sites visited. A
daily proxy log is sent to the principal identifying any students visit-
ing inappropriate web sites!
