REPORT CARDS AND
PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Report cards are issued to students three times yearly: November,
March, and June. As well, two parent—teacher interview dates will
be set up following the 1st and 2nd report cards. These dates are
published in the school’s monthly newsletter.

OTHER FEES AND COSTS

In both elementary and junior high classes, some field trips and
events may have costs associated with them to cover bussing and
admission fees. It is the school’s practice not to exclude students
from field trips if they cannot afford these fees.

FIRE DRILLS AND LOCK DOWN PROCEDURE

Fire drills are held throughout the school year to ensure a swift
and safe building evacuation. Regulations and escape routes are
posted in each classroom. Students are to walk calmly out the
exit as directed by their teacher, leaving the lights on and closing
all windows and doors. Students proceed to the prearranged
meeting area and await the all clear signal.
Additionally, a lock down procedure will be conducted from time to time.
False Alarms are a criminal offence and will be treated accordingly.
Suspension from school may result.

OUTDOOR POLICY

Except during inclement weather, wherein supervisors will decide
if it is an “in” or “out” day, students will be asked to go outside
during lunch breaks. Appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
will be required at this time.

LOST AND FOUND

All school supplies and items of clothing such as boots, mitts, and
shoes should be labelled with the child's name. All items found
will be held in the office until the owner claims it, or until the end
of the school year at which time unclaimed items will be donated.

ASSEMBLIES

General assemblies are held after the reporting periods to
recognize the accomplishments of our students.
