Early Literacy / AISI (Alberta Initiative for School Improvement)

Students participate in individualized and / or small group literacy enhancement sessions. The AISI project’s focus for Aspen School Division will be on assessment for learning in the areas of literacy and math.

Reading Buddies

Students from grade one to four are very privileged to have dedicated volunteers come in to read one-on-one with them on a regular basis.

Speech and Language Pathologist

Thorhild Elementary School has access to the services of a Speech and Language Pathologist through the Aspen Health Authority.

Occupational Therapist

Thorhild Elementary School has access to the services of an Occupational Therapist through the Aspen Health Authority.

Family – School Liaison Program

Family-School Liaison services are provided to students and their families in the community to help strengthen and stabilize school, family, and community life.
