Vilna Graduation 2008

Vilna will be tentatively holding Grad 2008 on July 5th

Scholarships:

Rutherford Scholarship is for all High School students with an average of 80 or better in core subjects.

The Premier Citizenship Award-Plaque is for community and school activities.

The following information is for Scholarships available only to Vilna Grads.

1. Debbie Buyar Memorial Scholarship is awarded to the student with the highest average in Core Grade 12 subjects. The recipient must be attending a post-secondary institution. The winner is announced in September and paid in December.

2. Grace English Memorial Scholarship is awarded to the student whose family has contributed the most to the Vilna Fire Department. The recipient must be attending a post-secondary institution.

3. Mrs. Doris Mazur and Mr. Brian Mazur scholarship for the highest mark in Social 30.

4. Dr. Frobb Memorial Scholarship is for a student entering the second year of medical studies. For more information please contact Mrs. R. Pelechaty.

5. Mrs. Nadia Kully Memorial Scholarship is awarded to the student with the highest average in Core Grade 12 subjects. The recipient must be attending a post-secondary institution. The winner is announced in September and paid in December.

6. The Grad class has a number at the Co-Op in St. Paul so that you can help them with their fund raising. If you would like to help by putting your purchases on their co-op number please use #86000. The Grads thank you for your support. 

7. RE/MAX of Western Canada will offer (24) $500 bursaries for a total of $12,000 to school students in a program called the Quest for Excellence. The program, which runs through to March 2, 2007, is aimed at students in Western Canada and encourages students in Grade 12 to enter an essay based on their interest and passion for a selected subject.  There are six subjects that students can choose from: Leadership, Sports, Technology & Trades, Performing Arts, Fine Arts and Community Service.  Go to http://www.remax-western.ca/4002_quest_for_excellence.html
