Connie Stasiuk appointed principal at Rochester School

Aspen View Public Schools is pleased to announce that Connie Stasiuk has been appointed principal at Rochester School for the 2017-18 School year. A lifelong resident of the Tawatinaw/Rochester area, Connie is excited to continue her education career in her home community.

Connie holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta, as well as a Master of Counselling degree. Her career includes a wealth of experience as a junior/senior high classroom teacher and distance educator with Alberta Distance Learning Centre. She also spent time on secondment to Alberta Education as a Career & Technology Studies Resource Manager. For the last five years, Connie has owned her own counselling and consulting business.

Connie’s diverse experience and background, as well as her deep connections to the community, will help continue the excellent work being done at Rochester School.

The principal position at Rochester School became available following the resignation of Slade Sekulich, who accepted the principal position at Swan Hills School. Aspen View Public Schools thanks Slade for his excellent work in Rochester and wish him every success in his new role.
