Aspen View Public Schools, with a division office located in the town of Athabasca, is a rural school division providing diverse and innovative programming to students in a number of communities. The division is unique in that it is surrounded by a multitude of lakes, golf courses and trails that appeal to an active, outdoor lifestyle while still being in close proximity to larger urban centers.

We are currently seeking a principal for Edwin Parr Composite School. As an instructional leader in our Division, you will be part of our Administrative Association, contributing to the success of the school and of the Division. This position reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools.

Edwin Parr Composite School, located in the Town of Athabasca, serves approximately 700 students from Grades 7-12.  The new school building opened in September 2018.  Athabasca lies two hours north of Edmonton with a population of 3,000 within the town; and an additional 4,000 in the surrounding county.

• A background of involvement in community activities
• A commitment to promoting inclusive classroom practices
• Foundational knowledge and skills to support First Nations, Métis and Inuit students and families.
• Committed to assessment for learning and outcome based reporting practices

This position will commence with the 2023-2024 school year.
