Alternate Education Program Delivery

Alternate Education Program Delivery

Aspen View Public Schools looks forward to the resumption of in-school learning for the 2020-21 school year under near-normal conditions with health measures in place. Our division and each of our schools have developed comprehensive re-entry plans, following the guidance and direction of Alberta Health Services and Alberta Education, that protect the health, safety and wellbeing of students and staff, while assuring the continuity of learning for students and offering the most fulsome educational experience possible under present circumstances.

However, Aspen View Public Schools also recognizes that each family has unique needs, and we respect that not all families are comfortable with their children returning to in-school classes due to health concerns or other circumstances.

Aspen View Public Schools values its relationship with each of our school families, and we are committed to providing Alternate Educational Program Delivery options that support students and families while maintaining their connection to both Aspen View and their community school.

What follows is a description of the Alternate Education Program Delivery options offered by Aspen View Public Schools for the 2020-21 school year.

If your child will be returning to in-school classes for 2020-21, no action is required. Please familiarize yourself and your children with the Division Re-Entry Plan and School Re-Entry Plan. We look forward to welcoming you back to school.

Descriptions of Alternate Education Program Delivery options appear below. If you are considering Alternate Education Program Delivery for your child(ren), and have not already registered, please contact your child's school. An Aspen View Public Schools representative will contact you to confirm registration in Alternate Education Program Delivery.

It is important to note that the Alternate Education Program Delivery options offered for 2020-21 will NOT be the same as what was experienced from mid-March to mid-June 2020. Expectations for student engagement will be more rigorous, as they are required to meet all the outcomes in the Programs of Study, similar to in-person learning.
