Assistant Principal, Edwin Parr Composite School

Ryan MannAspen View Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Mann as assistant principal of Edwin Parr Composite (EPC) School, effective for the 2023-24 school year.

Ryan joined Aspen View Public Schools in the 2022-23 school year as the Grade 8/9 Knowledge and Employability Program teacher at EPC. Prior to joining Aspen View, Ryan taught for 26 years with Parkland School Division at various schools, with experience from Grades 4-12. He holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta.

Relationships and helping students learn to love learning are at the forefront of Ryan’s education philosophy. He has learned to embrace change and try new things in an effort to make the educational experience for every student a positive one.

Assistant Principal, H.A. Kostash School

Ashley RomaniukAspen View Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Ashley Romaniuk as assistant principal of H.A. Kostash (HAK) School, effective for the 2023-24 school year.

Ashley has spent her entire teaching career with Aspen View Public Schools, including two years at Grassland School and six years at Vilna School. She has taught at HAK since 2013, including a three-month term as acting assistant principal. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta.

Ashley is eager to bring her skills and expertise to another level within HAK, and make a positive impact on the lives of students, parents, staff and community.

Assistant Principal, Vilna School

Danielle GirardAspen View Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Danielle Girard as assistant principal of Vilna School, effective for the 2023-24 school year.

Danielle has spent her entire teaching career with Aspen View and at Vilna School, with experience in Junior/Senior High Science, Grade 7 homeroom, Career & Technology Foundations (CTF) and option courses. She has also helped deliver daily basic literacy and numeracy skills for Grade 1-3 students. In 2017, Danielle was Aspen View’s nominee for the Edwin Parr Award for exceptional first-year teachers. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta and a Business Administration certificate from Northern Lakes College.

Danielle is committed to encouraging students to perform at their best while promoting positive classroom and school culture.
