Aspen View Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Amber Oko (CPA, CMA) as Secretary-Treasurer of Aspen View Public Schools, effective April 3, 2023.
Amber’s appointment marks her return to Aspen View Public Schools, having previously served as Secretary-Treasurer from 2016-2020. “Amber earned the respect of the Board of Trustees, senior administration and school-based administrators in the past, and with her joining our team the division is in great hands financially moving forward,” Superintendent Neil O’Shea commented.
A former student of Aspen View Public Schools, Amber’s previous public sector experience includes positions with Athabasca County and Athabasca University, as well as work in the private sector. In addition to her accounting designation, she holds a Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge.
“During the last several years I have a renewed appreciation for this role, the experienced staff and the leadership within the organization,” she commented. “I welcome another opportunity to contribute to the Aspen View team.”
