Principal, Edwin Parr Composite School
Aspen View Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Stacey Mabey as principal of Edwin Parr Composite (EPC) School, effective for the 2023-24 school year.
Stacey comes to Aspen View with considerable experience as an educator and administrator based in Edmonton. After starting her teaching career at Vimy Ridge Academy and W.P. Wagner High School, she later become assistant principal at Highlands School and, most recently, McNally High School. In between, she served as curriculum coordinator at Victoria School of the Arts, completed a secondment with Alberta Education as a Science 30 examiner, and worked as a curriculum resource and support consultant. Stacey holds both Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Alberta.
Stacey is a reflective, creative and forward-thinking problem solver, dedicated to excellence and accountability in education. Her strengths in relationship building, leadership and project management will be assets in her new role at EPC.
Principal, Boyle School
Aspen View Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Mestinsek as principal of Boyle School, effective for the 2023-24 school year.
Jason joined Aspen View in 2022-23 as assistant principal at Edwin Parr Composite School. Previously, he was with Grande Prairie Public School Division where he has worked as a teacher, vice principal and principal since 2009. He has administrative experience with all grades, including helping to open a new high school in Grande Prairie in 2014. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta, a Bachelor of Education degree (Honours) from The King’s University; and a Masters of Education degree from Simon Fraser University.
Jason brings to Boyle School his strengths of fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders, and leading an evidence-based culture that informs and drives school planning.
Principal, Thorhild Central School
Aspen View Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Lenore Lamouche as principal of Thorhild Central School (TCS), effective for the 2023-24 school year.
Lenore’s appointment marks her return to TCS, where she previously served as assistant principal from 2011-13. Lenore has been an administrator with Aspen View since 2009. She originally joined the division as principal of Radway School from 2009-11, and has served as assistant principal of H.A. Kostash School in Smoky Lake since 2013. Prior to joining Aspen View, Lenore worked as a teacher and assistant principal with Northland School Division at Gift Lake School. She holds Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education and Masters of Education degrees, all from the University of Alberta.
Lenore’s passion for helping people, learning, and inspiring a love of learning and reading in students, will serve her well in her new role at TCS.
