
Joe MacIsaac appointed as Director of Curriculum & Student Achievement
Aspen View Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe MacIsaac as the division's Director of Curriculum & Student Achievement, effective for the 2025-26 school year.
Joe has spent his entire career as an educator at Landing Trail Intermediate School, beginning as a classroom teacher in 1995. He transitioned into an administrative role in 2011 as assistant principal and, later, principal. In addition to his school leadership experience, Joe also served as a system administrator responsible for second languages from 2006-2015, served on a math curriculum and assessment team from 2010-2015, and worked with Alberta Education on Provincial Achievement Test development and assessment from 2006-2010.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta/University of Ottawa, and both Bachelor and Master of Education degrees from the University of Alberta.
“Joe brings 30 years of experience and a strong sense of professionalism to his new role,” Aspen View Public Schools Superintendent Constantine Kastrinos said. “Please join me in congratulating him and welcoming him into our schools.”
“I consider myself a quick and agile learner with excellent communication skills, who has a clear vision of how to effectively collaborate with stakeholders to implement key priorities,” Joe said. “I am keen to deepen my knowledge regarding the unique culture of each school and to use my expertise to help each school improve and to thrive in accordance with Aspen View’s three core priorities.”
