Request for Members at Large: Audit Committee

The Board of Trustees of Aspen View Public Schools requires two members at large to serve on the Audit Committee for the 2025-26 school year.

The mandate of the Audit Committee is to:

• Recommend external auditors to the Board of Trustees;
• Review the annual financial statements of Aspen View Public Schools and report to the Board of Trustees;
• Attend to any other matters as determined by the Board of Trustees.

As per Section 142(2) of the Education Act, members at large on the Audit Committee must include:

• One member of the business community.
• One member of the adult learning community.

It is anticipated that the Audit Committee will meet 2-3 times per year. Members at large of the Audit Committee will be eligible for remuneration and expense claims in accordance with rates established for members of the Board of Trustees (Policy 7: Board Operations; Schedule A).
