National Day for Truth & Reconciliation

As we approach National Day for Truth & Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, schools within Aspen View are making special efforts to acknowledge the histories and legacies of residential schools, and to honour the survivors, their families and communities. Reconciliation-related initiatives in our schools and communities help to recognize the painful legacy of residential schools and understand how we can come together to offer a better future for all. Schools will be sharing reconciliation activities through their social media accounts and other platforms.

We encourage members of our school communities to commemorate National Day for Truth & Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, including wearing an orange shirt to school on Friday, September 27.

All Aspen View Public Schools facilities will be closed on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 to recognize the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation.
